When You Have The World’s Legal Resources At Your Disposal… (UPDATED)

…you still can get it wrong.

Our friends at Dotfusion and RetailMarketing411 pointed out a fun on-line scratch-and-win contest for Proctor & Gamble’s Cascade brand. The contest site is fantastic; easy to use and logical, just as good contest microsites should be.

Check out the contest here.

But after all of that, the contest falls apart. The contest rules are acceptable for usage in the US, but are lacking a number of important requirements for Canada. The most glaring omission is the standard Regie clause. Oops! Anyone doing any kind of marketing in Canada knows about the Regie.

EDIT August 30, 2006: The Regie clause is now found in the Canadian rules!
